How to Play Bubble Shot
When starting a new game of Bubble Shot, you’ll be greeted by a screen filled with colorful bubbles. Your objective is to pop each of these bubbles as quickly and efficiently as possible. In order to pop the bubbles, you’ll need to shoot more bubbles onto the playing field to make a combination of three or more bubbles of the same color.
At the bottom of the screen, a bubble cannon shows the bubble that you’ll be shooting into the field, as well as an additional bubble that’s on deck to be fired next. There are two ways of firing bubbles: you can simply tap the area of the screen where you want to send the bubble, or, if you’re trying to pull off a tricky shot, you can tap, hold, and drag the bubble to finely adjust the angle of the
shot. The latter technique is incredibly important when you’re trying to reach a bubble in a tight spot or if you’re unsure of exactly where your bubble may land.
If you clear a set of bubbles on which other colored bubbles hang, the hanging bubbles will be cleared as well. After you pop all of the bubbles of a specific color, that color will no longer appear on the board.
At the bottom left of the screen, there’s also a meter with three empty bubble spaces. If you make a shot without popping any bubbles, this meter will increase. Once the meter increases after three missed shots, a new set of bubbles will appear at the top of the screen.
In Bubble Shot, you have three minutes to clear the board. Once you clear the screen or run out of time, the game will end and you’ll be presented with your total score, which is based on the total number of bubbles you cleared and the speed at which you completed the puzzle. As you become more familiar with the game, you’ll notice that aiming for large groups of bubbles pays off when you’re trying to get a high score.
